The Raikes Church School Convention was established at the New Morning Star Baptist Church in 1880 in King & Queen County. The Reverend J.M. Powell was elected as the first president.Below are the individual churches who had won the King & Queen contest to support the Bapist Children's Home. This annual event is held on Palm Sunday.
